- 1986 to 1987 postdoc in the research group Biomedicine and Physiology of Swansea University, Wales, UK
- 1987 to 1989 postdoc in the research group neurophysiology at Universität Bremen
- 1989 to 1991 head of the biochemical laboratory of EUROIMMUN GmbH, Groß Grönau/ Lübeck
- 1992 to 1994 scientific assistant in the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the department Rheumatology of the Medizinische Universität zu Lübeck
Journalistic Career
